So how have the Fishing charters and dolphin tours been here in Cocoa Beach during early October? Well to be honest tough, and I say that not because the fish haven’t been biting, but because weather has made it tough to get on the water. Between wind and rain there have definitely been more than a few where going out was just not possible. If you happened to be one of the folks that didn’t get to go out, please know that here at Cast Away Adventures we are truly sorry for that. Unfortunately, sometimes it is necessary to make that call and it is my least favorite phone call to make.
On the days that we have gotten out to do some fishing there have been some really nice days. Those nice redfish above were on a few of those days. Other catches include snook, trout, mangrove snapper, sheepshead, grunts, jacks and ladyfish.
It should be also noted that this time of year can be a bit more windy than our summer days. On those days anglers need to be a more patient as we need to search a bit more. Finding and checking those nice windbreak fishing spots to locate where the fish are tucked up. As we all know this is a outdoor activity and sometimes mother nature has her own plans for the day. Regardless, great days can still be had on the water. Your in Florida and you are on a boat, doesn’t get much better.
